New, fresh, Intel has been declassified at the Arma 2 headquarters.
Prague 25th June, Czech Republic - Award winning independent development studio Bohemia Interactive is pleased to announce a new update on the Arma 2 homepage. The update gives fans a unique opportunity to learn more about each of the four factions in Arma 2: Operation Arrowhead and explore the huge catalogue of models, vehicles and weapons which are available in this highly anticipated standalone expansion pack for Arma 2, the best military simulator of 2009. The latest piece of Intel, taking an in-depth look at Arrowhead's weaponry, has been declassified this afternoon for immediate analysis at www.arma2.com
Visitors to the Arma 2 website will find briefings on Blufor and Opfor forces, introduced by in-game videos released a couple of weeks ago, and new information about the people of Takistan and the capabilities of Takistan’s guerrilla army. Each faction has its own page, containing concise and important information about their history, background or weaponry.
Arma 2: Operation Arrowhead features an assortment of over 160 new models featuring unique vehicle types, both military and civilian, as well as new weapons and characters. Many of these are present in different configurations with varying armaments and/or camouflage patterns, resulting in more than 300 fully playable models. All of Arma 2: Operation Arrowhead’s models are created with extreme precision from real world schematics, resulting in the most accurate vehicle, equipment, weapon and personnel models ever seen in a military combat simulator.
To give fans an early intelligence advantage ahead of the game’s June 29th launch, selected models from each faction will be declassified and revealed, accompanied with a short description and an image and in themed groups, starting today.
Set in the new, visually attractive environment of rugged Central Asia, Arma 2: Operation Arrowhead will offer a realistic combat simulation experience in a modern day setting with unprecedented freedom of movement, actions and tactics. Players will enlist into various roles within the US Army, from basic infantryman through to special operative, to pilots and tank crew equipped with hi-end military equipment such a thermal imaging and directly controlled UAVs, in this new installment in the award winning line of military simulators for PC from Bohemia Interactive.
